Meet the Team
Founder & President
Robert McLarty
Robert first developed a passion for political campaigns after seeing first-hand the internal workings of Bill Clinton's tenure as Governor of Arkansas during the 1980's. With a little help from his close family mentor and President Clinton's first White House Chief of Staff, Thomas "Mack" McLarty, Robert embarked on his own career in politics. While earning his undergraduate degree in Political Science from The University of Arkansas, he worked for the 1996 re-election campaign of President Clinton and traveled on behalf of the White House.
Robert has worked in leadership roles on seven presidential campaigns as well as consulting for multiple international campaigns. His career has spanned over two decades, in the private sector and as a political consultant. Robert returned to Arkansas in 2003 to focus his attention on launching a public affairs firm, combining his years of experience from working on many high profile campaigns and major mass media events. Robert's influence and efforts have helped guide Fortune 500 companies, high profile political and business leaders, and international clients to achieve vast success. Through his work on numerous high-level grassroots campaigns, Robert has helped to shape public opinion. Several areas of his work include telecom, energy, gaming, economic development, infrastructure, and healthcare. In his home state of Arkansas, he worked alongside then- Governor Mike Beebe to establish the first federally approved state expansion of the private option.
Prior to forming McLarty Consulting, Robert worked as part of the senior leadership for Hillary for America. He was recently listed by Campaign and Elections Magazine as one of the top "500 Influencers in the United States." The Associated Press, Washington Post, Newsweek, Politico, The Hill, Congressional Quarterly and Arkansas Democrat-Gazette feature his insight often.
